Biography

David Cella, PhD heads the Department of Medical Social Sciences and is the Director, Institute for Public Health and Medicine (IPHAM) - Center for Patient-Centered Outcomes of Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences. He also serves as the Professor in Medical Social Sciences, Neurology - Ken and Ruth Davee Department, Preventive Medicine-Health and Biomedical Informatics, Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences and Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences. His areas of research include Cancer Communications, Health Disparities, Outcome measures; Patient reported outcomes, Psychological issues of patients dealing with medical illness, Psychometrics, Quality of Life. He has authored more than 700 papers in the areas of his expertise dealing with many aspects of Social sciences.
