Gerrit Gmel
Biography
Gmel completed his Ph.D. in 2016 with a crossover project between engineering and neuroscience. He is now the lead of development efforts as SNS Project Leader Closed-Loop Medical. Previously, Gmel worked as a contractor for the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health in Toronto, Canada, where he developed statistical models on the burden of alcohol consumption, hypertension, and the effects of various interventions for alcohol dependence. He is also the lead singer/songwriter/guitarist for the band Citizen of the World.
