Ligia Costa Leite

Assistant Professor researcher at the Institute of Psychiatry

Biography

Ligia Costa Leite holds a degree in Education from College Notre Dame (1980); Master in Advanced Studies in Education at the Getulio Vargas Foundation RJ (1987); PhD in Communication from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (1996) and post-doctorate in Communication from the University of Montreal, Canada (2001). She is currently professor-researcher at the Institute of Psychiatry of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. It has experience in mental health and psychosocial rehabilitation, acting on the following topics: culture, teenagers, psychosocial risks, identity. It's five-book author in the area of ​​the abandoned youth, street children and methods for psychosocial interventions.
