Michel Perreault

Researcher, Douglas Research Centre Associate Professor, Department of Psychiatry, McGill University

Biography

Dr. Perreault’s research focuses mainly on the evaluation of services in mental health and substance abuse treatment. Within a clinical context, Dr. Perreault has conducted research projects that centre on the treatment, organization, and evaluation of services, paying particular attention to individuals who are afflicted with comorbid disorders in mental health and substance addiction. He also studies the integration of services designed for this clientele. With the help of his research team, Dr. Perreault has developed and validated tools and methods aiming to evaluate the perspective of users, relatives, and stakeholders. 

Research Interest

His research interests reflect Psychological Distress Increases Needle Sharing among Cocaine users: Results from the COSMO Study. His research  also includes Blood Clot Symptoms, Cocaine-Related Disorders, Cocaine Addiction, Opioid-Related Disorders, Substance-Related Disorders, Addiction Recover. He is the Editorial Board Member of - Journal of Addiction Research & Therapy and serves as a member of various associations, apart from being an author for many books.
