Matteo Pacini

Professor of Addiction at Department of Psychiatry, NFB–University of Pisa, Italy

Biography

He was born in Pisa 40 years ago. He started studying psychiatry just after his degree in medicine, in 1999, under the supervision of Dr Maremmani at the Psychiatric Clinic of Pisa University run by professor GB Cassano. While working in the field of general psychiatry, he started acquiring experience in the diagnosis and treatment of addictive diseases, with special regard to the intermingling between psychiatric syndromes and substance use.
