Joanna Astrid Miler

Queen Mary University of London, UK


 She was appointed vice president of Patient Care Services and chief nursing officer for Sibley Memorial Hospital in August 2014. Dr. Miller, who has more than 25 years of progressive nursing leadership experience, also serves as a member of the hospital’s senior management team and leads Sibley’s more than 600 nurses.

She received her doctor of nursing degree from Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pa., her master’s degree in nursing from the University of Hartford, West Hartford, Conn., and her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh, N.Y. She is currently a Malcolm Baldrige Executive Fellow, expecting completion in April 2017.
