Ziya Gizlice

Biography

Dr. Gizlice holds a PhD from North Carolina State University. He serves as the director of the Biostatistical Support Unit at the UNC Center for Health Promotion and Disease Prevention.  Prior to his current position, Dr. Gizlice served as the head of Survey Operations Unit at NC State Center for Health Statistics and was the coordinator of the NC Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS).  Dr. Gizlice founded a Child Health Assessment and Monitoring Program (CHAMP) in North Carolina. As an Assistant Professor, he taught at Akdeniz University in Antalya, Turkey.
