Abstract
A brief overview of the fundamentals of neuroanatomy, neurobiology and neurochemistry Point biobehavioral" view of dependence based on the theory of learning and knowledge of brain function Pharmacology and behavioral effects of different classes of psychoactive substances, or psychopharmacology Neurobiological processes that are common heritage of all human beings Attention in genetic studies, differences in genetic inheritance from human to human, evidence of a genetic factor in drug dependency , and interaction of genetic and environmental factors in the development and maintenance of the premises Neuroscientific evidence about the specific interconnections between drug dependency and mental disorders, particularly depression Ethical issues in research, treatment and prevention of disorders of drug dependencies, so that these issues can be exploited in neuroscience research and its applications. Implications of neuroscience research in public health Specific policy recommendations for prevention and care Dr. Maria Eugenia Velasco Contreras is to present the subject as monographic revision to update knowledge regarding best results in the prevention and treatment of withdrawal syndrome drugs; priority among the millions of addicted to legal drugs alcohol and snuff. In 2008 he was given the task of establishing the program IMSS snuff smoke free, thus ensuring that they remove the CMN XXI Century "smoking areas" and the introduction of a guide to good medical practice for the prevention and control of smoking on health services
Biography

Maria Eugenia Velasco Contreras is a specialist in internal medicine who graduated in 1982, with title of the Faculty of Medicine of the National Autonomous University of Mexico. She has worked for the IMSS from 11 January 1983 until March 1989; General Hospital on a second-level care in the City of Mexico. In April 1989 The General Medical of IMSS joined as Coordinator of medico- preventive programs, as currently continues to play. She has participated in the review and updating of the National Standards for the Prevention and Control of pulmonary tuberculosis, cervico -uterine cancer, breast cancer, diabetes mellitus, hypertension, obesity, and dyslipidemia. In 2008 she was given the task of establishing the program IMSS snuff smoke free, thus ensuring that they remove the CMN XXI Century "smoking areas" and the introduction of a guide to good medical practice for the prevention and control of smoking on health services
