Biography
Neelam Balekar completed her postdoctoral studies from Drug Delivery System Excellence Center, Department of the Pharmaceutical Technology, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Prince of Songkla University, Hat Yai, Thailand (2011-2012). She has received her Ph.D. in 2007 from Bharati Vidyapeeth University, Poona College of Pharmacy, Pune, India. Currently she is working as Professor at IPS Academy, College of Pharmacy, Indore, India. She is engaged in administrative responsibilities as a teacher and researchers. She is serving as a reviewer for several reputed journal like Pharmacy and Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Biology, Biochemistry and Physiology, International Journal of Medicinal Plants and Alternative Medicine, Top Class Journal of Herbal Medicine…… She has authored 45 research articles . She is member of professional bodies like The Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India, Indian Pharmacological Society….
Research Interest
She is actively involved in research in areas like immunology, wounds, antioxidant, inflammation, arthritis……. She is involved in isoalation of the phytoconstituent from the medicinal plants and evaluation its activity in cellular and molecular levels.
