Biography
Gianfranco Silecchia is Director Bariatric Center of Excellence at Sapienza University of Rome-Polo Pontino. He has completed his Ph.D. Surgical physiopathology Università La sapienza Roma (1984-1988) next he got scholarship from Penn University Philadelphia ,USA later he worked at Mount Sinai Hospital, NY presently he is working at Department of Medical-Surgical Sciences and Bio-Technologies, Sapienza University of Rome, Italy.He is a Member of Italian Society of Surgery (SIC), Italian Society for Obesity Surgery (Sicob), Italian Society for Endoscopic Surgery (SICE). European Association for Endoscopic Surgery (EAES), International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity (IFSO), fellow of American Society of Bariatric and metabolic Surgery (ASBMS), Romanian Association for Endoscopic Surgery (Honary Member) ,General Secretary Italian Society for Endoscopic Surgery (SICE) .
