Biography
Dr. Rachel J.Pohle-Krauza received her Ph.D. in Exercise Science (Nutrition Emphasis) from the University at Buffalo. She is currently an Associate Professor of Nutrition in YSU’s Department of Human Ecology and also holds appointments as an Adjunct Assistant Professor for the Consortium of Eastern Ohio Master of Public Health (CEOMPH) Program and as Scientific Staff at Summa Health System. A Registered, Licensed Dietitian-Nutritionist, her main investigative foci pertains to to nutrition in chronic disease, obesity, and regulation of food intake and body weight.RPK has authored/co-authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and has conducted many presentations for audiences national/international conferences, most currently to include a research report at the upcoming national meeting of the American Society for Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery (11/13; Atlanta, GA). She has served as President of the Greater Akron Dietetic Association, and as member of the Research Task Force of the Ohio Dietetic Association.
