Biography

I am a research scientist at Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago. Apart from research, I am an avid reader and I enjoy taking long drives in summer.

Research Interest

My work is based on understanding more about the immune-therapeutic approach to address Clostridiodes diffcile infection. Clostridiodes diffcile is a bacterium that causes diarrhea and colitis, and it is resistant to most antibiotics, which makes it an exciting candidate. In fact, it's estimated to cause almost half a million infections in the United States each year. About 1 in 6 patients who get C. diff will get it again in the subsequent 2-8 weeks. We are trying to address this infection and its recurrence with a novel immunological approach.
