Ramalingam KK

Dr. Professor K.K Ramalingam s the one of the most experienced and reputed ENT surgeons in India. He is the Founder, Senior Professor & Chairman of the renowned KKR ENT Hospital & Research Institute in Madras. Born in 1936, Prof. Ramalingam completed his DLO in 1962 (Madras University). He did his residency training between 1963 & 1966 at the Buffalo General Hospital, New York.

Biography

He passed the FRCS (Ed) examination in 1967 and worked as a registrar in the Middlesex Hospital & Mt Vernon Hospital in London between 1966 & 1968. Returning to India, he was a Honorary Professor of ENT in the Govt. General Hospital & Madras Medical College for about 25 years till his retirement in 1993. His private hospital, KKR ENT Hospital & Research Institute has been in the forefront in this speciality, imparting service and education alike, to the people in this region and is a recognised centre for Diploma NB Training in ENT.

Research Interest

Professor K. K. Ramalingam has acheived many significant milestones in his long and distinguished career. • He is currently an examiner for the FRCS Edinburg examination and • He is an excellent teacher conducting numerous teaching courses in Otology, Rhinology and Head and Neck Surgery for the benefit of Post-Graduates and Practising ENT Surgeons. • He is a Past President of the Indian Society of Otology. • His Manual, "Learning Ear Surgery Through Temporal Bone Dissection", is still the standard book in its category all over India. • He has just completed work on the third edition of his popular book for the undergraduates, "The Short Practice of ENT".
