Richard P. Nielsen

Biography

Dr. Richard P. Nielsen obtained his BS degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Utah in 1975. He entered the United States Navy serving in various clinical leadership positions over 20 years and specialized in clinical electrophysiology (EMG and nerve conduction studies). Dr. Nielsen obtained his masters degree from the University of Washington in Neuro-kinesiology (neurophysiology) and his doctorate degree from the University of St. Augustine in Florida with emphasis in Clinical Electrophysiology. Dr. Nielsen is board certified by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties in Clinical Electrophysiology. Dr. Nielsen also serves as the president of Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions in Provo, Utah. He has authored chapters in textbooks and published in peer-reviewed journals in the specialty area of Clinical Electrophysiology, and has taught extensively throughout the world in Principles of Electrophysiology.
