Dr. Charles David Boucek, MD attended the University of Chicago and the University of Pittsburgh (B.S. 1974). He is a graduate of Temple University Medical School (M.D. 1978) and completed residencies in Internal Medicine at Presbyterian University Hospital (Pittsburgh) and Anesthesiology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians. He was the founding medical director of the Center for Pain Evaluation and Treatment of the University of Pittsburgh. He is currently an Associate Professor of Anesthesiology at the University of Pittsburgh and is the Coordinator of the Anesthesiology Grand Rounds program. He is a member of the Liver Transplantation and Thoracic Anesthesia Teams. Interests include abdominal transplantation, Medical Education, simulation training, and medical ethics.
