Distribution of two species of Pogostemon (Lamiaceae) found in Southern Western Ghats is discussed in detail based on the collection of Pogostemon cruciatus from Wayanad and P. peethapushpam from Chickmagalur. The collection of the latter species from Karnataka not only forms new record to the state but also first report outside its type locality.
