About the Journal

Biochips and Tissue chips are miniaturized laboratories that can perform hundreds or thousands of simultaneous biochemical reactions and enable researchers to quickly screen large number of biological analytes for various purposes starting from disease diagnosis to detection of bioterrorism agents. It is a major thrust of the rapidly growing industrial biotechnology, which comprehends a very wide and vast range of research efforts in the field of Biomaterials, Microlithography, Biochips, Nanochips, Tissue engineering, Biosensors, Organic electronics, Signal processing, Bioengineering, Bioassay, Microassay, Genetic Biochip, Microfluidic biochips, DNA-Based biosensors, Protein microarrays, Label-free biosensor cell assays, Biosensor devices. These chips essentially perform hundreds or thousands of simultaneous biochemical reactions.

The journal is using Editorial Manager System for quality in review process. Editorial Manager is an online manuscript submission, review and tracking systems. Review processing is performed by the editorial board members of Journal of Biochips & Tissue Chips or outside experts; at least two independent reviewers approval followed by editor approval is required for acceptance of any citable manuscript. Authors may submit manuscript and track their progress through the system, hopefully to publication. Reviewers can download manuscripts and submit their opinions to the editor. Editors can manage the whole submission/review/revise/publish process.

Microlithography

Microlithography is defined as capable of structuring material on a fine scale specifically to lithographic patterning methods. The transfer of a pattern or image from one medium to another, as from a mask to a wafer, with image features in the micro meter range or smaller.

A Nano chip is an integrated circuit that is so small, that individual particles of Nano chip play major roles. It is the Miniaturization of electronic and computer components. It has more processing power and works faster with low energy consumption because distances among components are reduced, minimizing charge-carrier transit time.
