Researchers from the University of Missouri have used advanced 3-D microscopic imaging technology to identify and monitor the proteins involved in this stiffening process of arteries as a person ages. These findings could eventually help researchers and physicians understand and treat complications associated with cardiovascular disease.

A new study conducted by Washington university researchers revealed that the chemotherapy drugs required to decrease a common form of adult leukemia may contribute to DNA damage that can lead to a relapse of the disease in some patients.
