Biography

Dr. Putterman Professor of Medicine and Microbiology Immunology, and Chief of the Division of Rheumatology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Montefiore Medical Center Bronx (New York). After graduating with an MD degree from the Technion Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Putterman did his internship at Rambam Medical Center and completed his residency and chief residency is at Hadassah University Hospital in Jerusalem. Following a Rheumatology fellowship and postdoctoral training. Dr. Putterman has remained on the faculty of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine where he also is Director of the Rheumatology Fellowship Program, CoDirector of the Musculoskeletal Disease Course and Director of the Einstein Federation of Clinical Immunology Societies Center of Excellence.

Research Interest

Dr. Putterman’s major research interests are in the field of immunology and autoimmune diseases and specifically the identification and characterization of novel mechanisms biomarkers and treatment approaches to inflammatory arthritis and SLE.
