Jesús Rodrigo Comino is a researcher of the Instituto de Geomorfología y Suelos (University of Málaga, Spain) and the Departament of Physical Geography (Trier University (Germany). He received his M.S. in land planning and GIS in 2013 in Granada and Málaga Universities. During this year, he published his first book about the Soils of Málaga province (Spain) following the IUSS-WRB (2014). Nowadays, he is finishing his PhD thesis, Actual geomorphological processes on sloping vineyards: a comparison of vines Ruwertal with the Montes de Málaga, thanks to a scholarship granted by the Spanish Government. He is developing an innovative research combining experimental measures (rainfall simulations and runoff experiments) and, monitoring techniques by using different hydrological and pedological parameters (soil loss, overland flow, infiltration and permeability) in conventional and ecological sloping vineyards in Spain and Germany. Between 2015 and 2017, he has published 13 articles indexed by Scopus (Catena, Science of the Total Environment, Solid Earth or Agricultural Ecosystem and Environment, Geoderma), presented posters and made conferences such as in EGU (European Geosciences Union) or in the Young and German Geomorphological meeting. Moreover, he is reviewer of international journals such as Land Degradation & Development, Catena, Agricultural Ecosystem and Environment, Solid Earth, Soil, Journal of Mountain Sciences or Land.
