Biography

Dr. Abedalthagafi is a well-rounded scientist physician with expertise in diverse medical domains. She did her Anatomical and Clinical Pathology training at Georgetown University. She is also board certified in clinical , anatomical , and molecular genetics pathology. Her medical interests are mainly in surgical pathology and neuropathology, with specific focus on molecular genetics. Her works at the University of California, San Francisco and Harvard Medical Schools gave her the opportunity to work closely with world-­‐class experts in the domain. Currently, she is in the division of Neuropathology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Harvard University, where she is conducting clinical and research projects brain cancer genetics. Additionally, Dr. Abedalthagafi has published her contributions and lectured on areas including transfusion medicine, neuropathology, surgical pathology, molecular genetics and hematopathology.
