Dr. Prashant Kole is currently associated with PKPD Core Facility School of Pharmacy Queens University Belfast UK. After completing his bachelor and masters degree in Pharmacy Dr. Prashant joined Pharmacy Group at Birla Institute of Technology and Science Pilani India as a faculty and also received his PhD Pharmacokinetics and Biopharmaceutics in year 2006. He has received number of grants and consultancy projects from industries involving variety of analytical and bioanalytical techniques. He has number of publications to his credit in peer reviewed international journals wrote many invited review articles and also has authored book chapter Dr Prashant has authored more than 50 editorial articles for various pharmacy magazines and websites. He is also a recipient of many academic and research awards Apart from his academic research and administrative involvements Dr. Prashant is also acting as a reviewer for many journals including Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences Drug Discovery Today Nanomedicines to name few. He is also an editorial member of International Journal of Community Pharmacy Dr. Prashant has also been speaker and resource person at various conferences workshops and symposia

Research Interest

Dr. Prashant research interests include bioanalysis of drugs in small volume biomatrices (plasma/serum, whole blood, urine, saliva and tissues), novel sample preparation techniques and pre-clinical & clinical pharmacokinetics. His current research at PKPD Core Facility is focused on strategic development of Dried Blood Spot (DBS) bioanalytical methods and its applications in paediatric Population Pharmacokinetics studies.
