Biography

Dr. Yih-Kuen Jan, PT, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma, United States of America. Dr. Jan received his BS degree in Physical Therapy, MS degree in Biomedical Engineering, Ph.D. degree in Rehabilitation Science, and Postdoc in Rehabilitation Technology. Dr. Jan started his research career as an Assistant Professor at the University of Pittsburgh. Later, he joined the University of Oklahoma and founded the Biomechanics and Microcirculation Lab in 2008. Dr. Jan has been awarded several significant research grants in the field of soft tissue biomechanics as Principal Investigator from the National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research (NIDRR), and national foundations. He serves as a reviewer for several prestigious journals, including Archives of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Microvascular Research. Dr. Jan has published more than 20 peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters.

Research Interest

Dr. Yih-Kuen Jan research interests include Soft tissue biomechanics, biosignal analysis, pressure ulcer management, microvascular dysfunction.
