Biography

Dr. Zoubida Zaidi graduated from Constantine Medical University (Faculty of General Medicine) in Algeria and received my M.D. in 1992. I completed my residency programs on epidemiology and biostatistics in the University of Setif, Algeria, and worked as an an epidemiologist and public health in the University hospital of Setif until 2003. Upon receiving the assistant professor on epidemiology on 2004. I received my Ph.D. in Medical Sciences in 2013 and rejoined the same team as an associate professor on 2014. In 2015, I was invited to join the Laboratory of genetic and cardiovascular diseases in the department of biology in the University of Setif in Algeria. My research interests include non-communicable diseases, cancer, tobacco, lifestyle, women’s health, elderly health, health policy and systems, environmental health, cardiovascular diseases and mortality. I served an authorship and an external reviewer to several scientific international journals and research grants.

Research Interest

Maternal and Child Health, Impact on Maternal Health Inequities, Child and Maternal Mortality, Health Informatics and International health. Epidemiology and Prevention of Chronic Diseases, Healthcare Associated to Infection Control. Non-Communicable Diseases Cancer, Tobacco, Lifestyle. Tobacco related to cancer epidemiology and survival. Breast, Colorectal and Cervix Cancer Epidemiology, Nutritional Epidemiology, Women’s Health in Midlife and Older Age, Health Changes, Cardiovascular Risks, Women’s Health, Health Policy And Systems, Environmental Health Research.
