IVF is the largest and most comprehensive in-vitro fertilization (IVF)-focused website for doctors, embryologists, nurses and social workers. IVF links doctors and specialists from IVF centers in order to encourage dialogue, discuss special treatments and medications, and advance research on IVF issues. IVF also assists patients by providing information, community forums and a safe environment for them to maintain a dialogue with doctors and learn more about infertility and treatment. IVF was founded by Professor Zeev Shoham and Professor Milton Leong, two medically-renowned doctors, both experts and pioneers in the field of reproductive endocrinology and infertility. Prof. Milton Ka Hong Leong was brought up in Hong Kong, finished his basic school years, and then went to attend McGill University in Montreal Canada. He did Honours Biochemistry as an undergraduate, and then Medical School. Further postgraduate training in Obstetrics and Gynecology followed, and he obtained his specialists degree in 1974. Professor Zeev Shoham was born and raised in Jerusalem, Israel. He received his M.D. degree in 1981 at the Hadassah Medical Center, under the supervision of Profs. M. Lancet, M.G. Elder, B. Lunenfeld and H. Jacobs. The history of In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) and embryo transfer (ET) dates back as early as the 1890s when Walter Heape a professor and physician at the University of Cambridge, England, who had been conducting research on reproduction in a number of animal species, reported the first known case of embryo transplantation in rabbits, long before the applications to human fertility were even suggested. IVF J Net is the first network of procreation centers started in Japan. Every medical institution cooperates to set up the system to give treatments smoothly.
