Mimedx Group, Inc. was legalised on February 28, 2008, MiMedx having initial assets of Hydrofix® and Collafixtm innovation platforms. On January 5, 2011, the organization acquired all Surgical Biologics, LLC, and in this way combined the corporate business offices and operating facilities in Kennesaw, Georgia. To this acquisition amnion tissue processing technology with MiMedx®'s accomplished administration group and distribution network in order to position the organization for business opportunities in different areas in medicine.
After so many years of human tissue encounter, the Surgical Biologics originators had the vision to apply advanced procedures to placental tissue to create unique ophthalmic, spinal, orthopedic, and dental Implants. At the time of the procurement, Surgical Biologics distributed tissue in different segments, for example, visual, dental, and spine. Early 2011, Mimedx® introduced Amniofix® for applications in spinal methodology. Amniofix® is a membrane which is used as a barrier between the dura and soft tissue. In 2011, the organization dispatched Epifix®nationwide. Epifix® is an allograft particularly prepared for acute and chronic wounds. The organization further expanded its product with the presentation of Amniofix® Wrap for both nerve and tendon security applications.
